Library Board Chair J. Randolph Colahan and Library Director Marianne Malagon and the Board of Trustees thanked Assemblyman Ra for his efforts in securing the funding.

The Library Board and Director are currently reviewing and updating a previous Space Study to finalize and implement plans for redesigning the space. Final approval of the grant is subject to review and consent by the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY) and other state agencies.

The Library Director and members of the Board of Trustees toured the Children’s Room with Barbara Grace, head of Children’s Services, to discuss plans for updating the space utilizing funds from the SAM Grant obtained by Assemblyman Ra.
