The Young Adult Department of the Library is specifically designed to serve students in grades 6-12. Here teens and ‘tweens will find a large selection of books, audiobooks, college catalogs and guidebooks, and magazines.

There are computers with varied electronic resources to assist students with school assignments as well as with the college search process.

The young adult librarian provides young adults with suggestions on what to read for pleasure as well as help finding materials for school assignments.

The Library also offers teens and tweens the opportunity to download eBooks and audiobooks 24 hours a day, seven days a week to their personal electronic devices. To get started, click on the “download” icon at the upper right corner of the Library’s webpage, enter the Nassau Digital Doorway, and select YA or classic eBook and audiobook titles to download. Be sure to have your library card in hand.

Tweens used the Library’s iPads and worked in teams to answer trivia questions during ‘Tween Kahoot Trivia Night’ on 4/8/19.
