People with a valid Garden City Public Library card.

How can I access an audiobook or eBook?
Click on the Download Audiobooks & eBooks link.

What is a downloadable audiobook?
An audiobook is a digital version of a recorded reading of a book that can be listened to on a Windows or Mac computer and transferred to supported devices, including an iPod or other Mp3 device.

What is an eBook?
An electronic book in digital format. It is a text-based title that can be read on your Windows or Mac computer or portable eBook reader, including Sony Reader and Barnes & Noble’s Nook.

How many audiobooks are available?
Over 2,000.

How many eBooks are available?
Over 400.

What kind of titles are available?
Bestselling and classic in every genre and subject, including materials for children and young adults.

Can I reserve titles?
Yes.

Can I renew titles?
Items checked out cannot be renewed, but you can check them out again if they are available when the checkout expires.

How many titles may I check out?
Up to five titles.

What is the loan period?
Audiobooks = 7 days.
eBooks = 14 days.

Can I access this service in the Library?
No.

What do I need to access this service from home?
A personal computer, access to the Internet, and the free, downloadable software for the computer and/or device on which you wish to access the material from the site.

How do I know which devices are compatible?
