Teens & Tots: Volunteers Needed

Interested in volunteering this summer? Join this year's "Teens and Tots" program. Volunteers must be ‘tweens and teens entering Grades 6-12 in September 2016. Volunteers will read and make crafts with children at the Garden City Pool this summer.

All volunteers are required to attend one training session. Training sessions were held on Wednesday, April 27 and Saturday, May 14 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Garden City Public Library. Pizza and soda will be provided for lunch at each training session.

Registration for training sessions begins on Monday, April 11 at 9:30 AM on Eventkeeper. "Teens and Tots" will be held at the Garden City Pool on the following Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM:

    • July 19 & 20
    • July 26 & 27
    • August 2 & 3

Volunteers should arrive at the pool by 1:45 PM and may sign-up for as many days as they'd like. For more information or to sign-up for days, contact Laura Giunta in the Young Adult Department via phone (516-742-8405 x242) or .

This program is a community service and participants earn credit.
