Have a hard copy you would rather not retype? Want to digitize a photo to attach it to an email? The iVina BookScan Station is the answer to those many pleas that have fallen on our ears. Library patrons can scan items to a Word, JPEG, or PDF file and save them to a USB flashdrive. Don’t have a computer at home? Sit down in our Computer Lab, insert your drive, and work with your files.
Patrons may purchase a USB flashdrive for $7.50 (the Library's cost) at the Circulation Desk. |

We have a supply of USB flash drives for sale at the Circulation Desk for $7.50 each (our cost). The new drives hold 8 GB - more than 5,600 times the capacity of a floppy disk - save and retrieve data more quickly, and are less subject wear and tear.
Remember to take your disk with you when you leave. If you find someone else's flashdrive, floppy, or CD, please bring it to the Computer Support Office or the Circulation Desk.
If you save your work in the "Documents" folder, do not expect to find it there the next time you use the computer. The computers are configured to erase all user files on restart. Bear in mind that for the length of time that the file is there, it is available to the next user. |
