Friends' Fabulous Book Sale

animated graphic of wobbling book stackA “Bargain Book Sale” will be held on Saturday, May 17, from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM on the Library's Lower Level. Come early for the best selection of hard- and soft-cover books including fiction, non-fiction, young-adult, and children’s books. CDs, DVDs, videos, and antique, autographed, and coffee-table books will be included. Bring your family, friends, and neighbors. There is no entrance fee.

The Friends of the Garden City Public Library will sponsor this fabulous sale, with all proceeds to benefit the Library. The Friends have volunteered as a dynamic resource for the community with their staff and extensive services since 1952. The non-profit organization has provided free for patrons of all ages: museum passes, quality programs, new equipment, summer reading groups, monthly exhibitions, movies, book discussions, newsletters, lectures, plays, concerts, craft workshops, book bags, and much more.
