Friends Book Discussion

E-mail Print

Miss Julia Speaks Her Mind, by Ann B. Ross, is the selection for a book discussion, which will be moderated by Gloria Weinrich, on Wednesday, May 7 at 10:00 AM at the Library.

Recently widowed and newly wealthy, Miss Julia receives a visit from Hazel Marie, who claims that her nine-year-old son is the child of Julia's late husband. Suddenly, this longtime church member and pillar of her small Southern community finds herself in the center of an unseemly scandal and the guardian of a nine-year-old whose mere presence turns her life upside down. Julia forces herself to become strong willed and beautifully solves her problems.

This book discussion, moderated by Mrs. Weinrich, will take place in the Library’s Small Meeting Room on the Lower Level. No registration is necessary. Copies of the book are available at the Reference Desk beginning April 7. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Garden City Public Library.
