Book Discussions

Registration for book discussions takes place in the Children's Room beginning Monday, January 23 at 9:30 AM. Non-residents can register beginning Monday, February 6 at 9:30 AM. For more information, look in the Children’s Room for our winter flyers or ask a Children’s Librarian.

Children are asked to bring a brown-bag dinner. A beverage and snack will be provided. Please notify librarians if your child has any food allergies.

Chapter Chat

"Chapter Chat" is our introductory book discussion for Children who are presently enrolled in Second Grade. All participants read the same book. Sign up is for both sessions.

The Book Ends

"The Book Ends" is a book discussion for children presently enrolled in Grades 3-5. The program is an hour.

Monday, March 19 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM
"Battle of the Books." Test your knowledge of popular books, including Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Harry Potter, Judy Moody, and more! Compete to win prizes! All children will receive a list of books that will be covered in the contest upon registering.

Monday, April 30 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM
The Invention of Hugo Cabret: A Novel in Words and Pictures. Discuss the award-winning book by Brian Selznick.
