Valid Library Card Needed for Online & Other Services Print Email
Board of Library Trustees News

The Library would like to remind all residents of the importance of having a current library card to take advantage of all of the services that the Library offers. A valid library card is a passport to the world of online services offered by the Library. Residents can download eBooks, request and renew materials, and access electronic databases, which are available through the Library’s website 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The individualized barcode on the library card must be entered to use the Library’s electronic and download services. In addition, library-card holders, who have registered to participate in the Museum Pass program, need to show a valid library card to borrow the passes and to visit those cultural institutions. Residents must come in person to the Library and show proper identification to obtain a valid library card, to update a library card if it has not been used recently, or to replace the card if it has been lost.
