Your Contribution Helps Us to Help You

Since 1952, the Friends has been providing financial support and other assistance to our Library to enhance its services and resources to the Garden City community.

With the help of the Library director and librarians, the Friends explores patron-friendly opportunities. Currently these include programs for children, young adults and adults, new equipment (computers, lighting, rugs, furniture), varied exhibits and art displays, dramatic presentations, lectures and demonstrations . . . to mention a few. All are FREE to patrons of all ages.

Without the financial support of the community, the Friends could not continue its work. We must look to YOU to support the Friends by…

  • Shopping at our daily Book Sale area where shelves abound in gently used, donated books, CDs and audiocassettes at giveaway prices for every age group. Great Reads! Great Gifts! Great Savings! (The Friends welcomes donations of quality books, CDs, videos, DVDs, records and tapes.)
  • Supporting our May Book Sale and smaller sales during the year. Watch for dates.
  • Buying a non-plastic tote bag at the Circulation Desk for $1.00.

If you are new to the community, we urge you to take advantage of all the Library has to offer and become a member of the Friends. To all our regular contributors, we offer a sincere thank you. Together we help our Library continue its tradition as a dynamic resource for our community.
